In the heart of Verona, a medieval palace has been transformed into a condotel: 32 luxury apartments equipped with home automation systems, curated by Simone Micheli
In Piazza dei Signori, in the center of Verona, an innovative form of hospitality has been inaugurated, the Allegroitalia Lords of Verona condotel, which comprises 32 studio, two-room and three-room apartments ranging from 50 to 110 sq m. This concept owes its name to ‘condominium and hotel’ and features apartments that can be booked even for a single night alongside other properties that are used as vacation homes and rented. The whole structure enjoys the same services and reception. It is managed by AllegroItalia Hotel & Condo, which runs other apartment hotels in charming places, from arts cities to smaller towns surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
Going back to the city of Romeo and Juliet, the 32 luxury apartments located in the Casa della Pietà and the medieval tower result from the well-balanced combination between the past and the intervention curated by architect Simone Micheli.
The ancient stone walls harmonize with the light colors of furnishings and surfaces. Natural light, entering from the many openings and coordinating with a curated lighting design, multiplies reflecting on mirrors and creates interplays of light and shadow that model the space, offering a general feeling of serenity and wellbeing.
On the walls of the apartments – which differ in typology but share the same elegance – pictures by photographer Maurizio Marcato create a continuum between outside and inside as well as reinterpretations of the city.
The pictorial intervention by the students of “Liceo Artistico Carlo Anti”, a fine arts high school in Villafranca di Verona, turned the two stairwells into a work of art to be experienced. Lightness and strong visual impact are the characteristics of a contemporary installation that makes the great figures who made the history of Verona live again.
