Great success for the Knowledge of Design Week in Hong Kong in June 2018: the speeches of the 30 international experts on ‘Design for Liveability’ are online

International thought leaders on design’s (from product design to urban planning, from sociology to entrepreneurship) potential to improve the quality of life in metropolises gathered in Hong Kong from 11 to 15 June 2018 for the latest edition of Kodw (organized by Hong Kong Design Center and Create Hong Kong).

The first focus was of course on Hong Kong, with its 7,500,000 citizens and the notorious problem of land shortage, to increase its liveability in the future and to confirm its role as a reference point for design in Asia. Conferences and workshops were held with a synergetic co-design spirit.

This year KODW has gathered famous figures from the world of industry and design, both national and international. We can mention some of them: architect Carlo Ratti, Director of MIT Senseable City Lab; landscape architect James Corner, CEO at James Corner Field Operations; Pratap Bose, Head of Design at Tata Motors Limited. They shared their latest experiences and innovative perspectives engaging an audience of professionals.

It is possible to access their speeches on KODW website or Facebook page
