In Rome, the history of an Italian company that changed the idea of business is on show

With ‘Looking Forward. Olivetti: 110 anni di immaginazione’ we can retrace the history of Olivetti & C., run by the Olivetti family since 1908. The company, traditionally, has always involved artists, designers and important figures who have worked for the company, creating products that have become iconic.

Running until June 3rd, 2018 at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome , ‘Looking Forward’ is a full immersion, a journey that shows us how an Italian company that changed the concept of business and the life of entire generations could influence the history of design, technological innovation and communication.

Divided into two parts, the exhibition displays over 150 pictures, dozens of posters and more than 300 objects, including iconic products such as the M1, Italy’s first typewriter, the Lettera22 portable typewriter or the P101, the first electronic desktop computer designed in 1965 by Pier Giorgio Perotto.
