NEW DESIGNERS AND COLLECTIONS RESULTING FROM RESEARCH AND EXPERIMENTATION. THE INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION AND THE FIRST COLLECTION DEDICATED TO CONTRACT: THESE ARE THE LATEST NEWS BY BONALDO
On the occasion of the Salone del Mobile 2018, in the showroom designed by architect Mauro Lipparini, Bonaldo makes its visitors experience new living dimensions, announces new collaborations and presents the company’s latest products: collections characterized by stylistic research, new colors and distinctive materials.
An increasingly stronger team of designers thanks to two new collaborations
For years Bonaldo has been devoting itself to accurate talent scouting allowing it to work with internationally renowned and well-established industrial designers as well as with very capable young emerging talents.

This year, in addition to the already established collaborations – such as those with Alain Gilles, Alessandro Busana, Bartoli Design, Giuseppe Viganò, Mauro Lipparini, Roberto Paoli, Ryosuke Fukusada and others – there are also Fabrice Berrux, professor at the École Bleue, Design School in Paris, and internationally renowned designer, and Paolo Grasselli, expert in design and interior design.

Bonaldo’s total living 2018: inspiration, experimentation and personality characterized by amazing colors and new materials
In the 2018 collections by Bonaldo each product tells a different story: it may evoke a special memory like a flashback or invite you to look at life from new perspectives. An example of this is the Cabinet de Curiosité bookshelf by Fabrice Berrux, that recalls the designer’s childhood and his grandfather’s writing desk, the keeper of precious secrets. Or the Art table by Gino Carollo that, with its upside-down legs, offers new points of view. Special attention is paid to padded furniture: a new catalogue including sofas, convertible or not, and armchairs shows a totally renovated collection. The restyling, resulting from an in-depth analysis of trends, materials and linings, has created an essential style that can be seen both in the recent models and in the reinterpreted versions of the brand’s historic products.

Moreover, this year, new materials, shapes and colors have been experimented. Three new colors – olive green, mustard yellow and brick red – giving life to surprising color combinations have been introduced. There are also new materials: in addition to the classic ones such as wood, glass, marble and metals, there are exclusive materials that, in a sort of charming puzzle, generate different expressive languages. This is the case of Onice oro (gold onyx) that embellishes the elements as if they were jewels, or Terrazzo veneziano (terrazzo), a tribute to the typical flooring of the Triveneto, made of chips of marble and stones of different size. The strong personality of a product is also due to the graphic experimentation that characterizes it: an example is the Tirella armchair by Paolo Grasselli, inspired by a multicolored fabric sample book.

A style that conquers the world
The company’s international expansion continues with investments in new showrooms and stores, showing an amazing ability to spot and meet the most diverse tastes and living needs of foreign customers.
Lastly, Bonaldo’s new challenge in the contract field: the company, which is carving out increasingly more space in this field, has created a collection that is completely dedicated to hospitality. [CR]
