Powerful design and new humanism in the breathtaking exhibition ‘A limitless co-existence’ of the Japanese brand

The event marks the eleventh participation of Lexus, Japanese luxury car brand, in the Milan Design Week. This year’s installation will leave everybody breathless and will be located in the new space le Cavallerizze (via Olona 6), in the Museo Nazionaledella Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci.

The space, designed by architect Sota Ishikawa, is inspired by the endless potential of the world and its inhabitants. Lexus looks at design as a catalyst for evolution, accountability and openness to other cultures. Design transforms ordinary into extraordinary, and the concept is embodied by an installation that projects visitors in front of a 4D work of art.

Sota Ishikawa’s installation

Based on the idea that each human being is ideally the center of the world, a (visually) infinite number of hanging strings represents each individual present on the face of the earth. All the strings are illuminated by a light source at the same time so that none of them is left in the darkness: a way to explain how each perspective ideally represents also its center.

Moreover, within this space, the new prototype of the brand will be presented, the Lexus LF-1 Limitless, luxury crossover characterized by futuristic lines and a cabin full of hi-tech systems.
