The thirteenth edition of Design Miami, the global forum for design, collecting and creativity, is going to take place.

Countdown for the new edition of Design Miami has finally started, once again the sunny city will bring together collectors, art dealers, designers, artists, curators and art critics from all over the world, gathered here to celebrate the greatest international design and contemporary art.

34 attending galleries, and numerous scheduled events.

An exhibition space within the fair will be dedicated to honoring the recipient of the 2017 Panerai Design Miami/ Visionary Award, Mwabwindo School, which will serve primary school students in rural Zambia. The space will also provide visitors the opportunity to donate towards funding one year of operations

And at the fair’s entrance, visitors can contemplate in an inspired, oval green space created by West 8 Landscape Architects outfitted with 101 wooden logs recycled from the recent Irma storm.

Among the collaborations worthy of note, the one with Fendi. To celebrate its tenth edition at Design Miami/, FENDI presents WELCOME!, a luxurious living room setting designed by Chiara Andreatti that creates a survey of the FENDI universe. This sophisticated, open environment, incorporates FENDI Selleria leather and stitching, fur craftsmanship and other iconic elements of the House’s DNA.

Also from the fashion world, Louis Vuitton enriches his collection of Objet Nomade, featuring, exclusively in Design Miami, a turquoise version of the iconic Bomboca sofa designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana. Other nomadic objects that will make their debut in Miami, are the Atelier Oï’s Swing Boat and Belt Chair; the Palaver Chair by Patricia Urquiola; India Mahdavi’s Talisman Table, as well as the Lune Chair and the Diamond Screen, designed by Marcel Wanders.

Great launches also from the automotive industry: the well-known brand Audi has chosen the stage of Miami to present the new Audi A8, the first production automobile in the world to have been developed for conditional automated driving
