American hardwood awarded four times at annual Wood Awards

The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC), the organization that for over 25 years has been promoting American solid hardwood on international markets, is proud to announce it.

The 21st of November, were announced the winners of the Wood Awards 2017, the UK’s leading competition that enhances and rewards architectural projects and products based on wood, the only naturally sustainable material.

Four of the winning projects have been made exactly with American hardwood:

Education & Public Sector Winner: Maggie’s Oldham by dRMM

Structural Award Winner: The Smile by Alison Brooks Architects

Production Made Winner: Narin Chair by David Irwin for Case Furniture

Student Designer Winner: Rustic Stool 1.0 by Mark Laban
