ALDO ROSSI. IL GRAN TEATRO DELL’ARCHITETTURA

OPENING SOON THE EXHIBITION ON ONE OF THE MAJOR MASTERS OF ITALIAN ARCHITECTURE.

Twenty years after the death of Aldo Rossi, Milan’s Politecnico organizes the exhibition titled ALDO ROSSI. IL GRAN TEATRO DELL’ARCHITETTURA, with the aim of remembering a key player of contemporary Italian and international architectural culture , that he studied and taught at the Faculty of Architecture of the Milan’s University.

At the inauguration ceremony, which will be held on 19 October 2017 at 6 pm at the Milan’s Politecnico (Via Ampère 2), Kurt W. Forster, Emeritus Professor of Yale University, will give a lecture on the figure of Aldo Rossi and the legacy of his teaching.

At the same time as the inauguration, the School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering (AUIC) will announce the opening of the International Call ALDO ROSSI. PERSPECTIVES FROM THE WORLD, on the contribution given by the Milanese master to the international architectural culture of the second half of the last century and on the role played by his work and his teaching. The Call is open to all PhD students in Architecture, Architecture PhDs who graduated in the last 10 years, and all architects and researchers who have turned 40 by the 2017. The conference with the results is expected from 11 June to 13 June 2018 at the AUIC School of Milan’s Politecnico.
