The number of Italian businesses on the American territory is increasing, it was evident in NYCxDESIGN
In May 2017, New York has been the heart of the NYCxDesign for the second time: the attempt was to involve all the design categories, creating a cooperation platform for cultural and commercial opportunities; but also to elevate established and emerging design practices and increases awareness of and appreciation for design by all audiences.
The quality and the values of Italian brands emerged in this great celebration. Our businesses landed in the USA long time ago, but their expansion is now at its best thanks to reorganization factors and the development of some products which meet the needs of the country.
In relation to this point, the reporter of Design Diffusion News, Manuela Di Mari, has grouped together the opinion of three important Italian CEOs.
Roberto Gavazzi, CEO of Boffi Group: “It is a rich audience and their taste is increasingly moving in the direction of design products and, in this sense, the level of culture grows year after year“.
Massimiliano Messina, CEO of Flou: “In order to be successful in America, we think that it is important to be able to get in touch with the consumer as well as with the professional. And so, single brand stores are becoming points of reference for this kind of audience“.
Stefano Core, CEO of Italian Creation Group: “In terms of size, North American market – Usa and Canada – is extremely broad in terms of potential clients, because it is mature and ready to accept and appreciate a high-quality design“.
