Tradition and contamination in the historic dwelling of Bergamo, from September, 10 to October, 4.
The 2017 edition of DimoreDesign has kicked off, and event involving four historic dwellings in the city of Bergamo – Palazzo Agliardi, Palazzo Moroni, Palazzo Terzi e Villa Grismondi Finardi – which are reinterpreted by major designers and shown to general public in a new version.
This edition’s designers
Surrounded by stuccos and precious frescos, paintings by Moroni and decorations by Tiepolo, Katrin Arens, Marc Sadler, Paola Navone, Rosa Maria Rinaldi and Matteo Ragni realized creative ‘short circuits’, redesigning the space architecture. Moreover, on Wednesdays evening, until October, 4, the designers and artists will talk about themselves inside the halls of the dwellings, during meetings moderated by the project’s curator Giacinto di Pietrantonio.
Meetings with art and design. The Masterclasses.
This year, as in the past, the event includes DimoreDesign Masterclass, during which young students from the IED school of design are directly involved in the creation process. The students will have the possibility to learn more about the artists and to confront each other, in-depth analyzing the respective artistic paths, while, on Sundays, leading visitors to discover the installations.
The dwellings are open to general public on Sundays, until October, 1.
Opening time: from 10,30 to 12.30 am; from 2.30 to 6.30 pm
Guided tours without reservation; tickets can be bought at the entrances of the dwellings or on the website dimoredesign.it
