YOKOHAMA MAKERS VILLAGE PRESENTS HIS FLOWER/METAL VASES COLLECTION

For the first time at the Fuorisalone 2017 of Milan, Yokohama Makers Village  presents Flower/Metal: a collection of flowers vases, entirely made of metal through the use of cutting-edge and advanced processing techniques, used in the treatment of this material, characterized by design.

Indeed, the Yokohama Makers Village is a brand specialized in the metal processing technique. It is born from the partnership of several Japanese companies operating in the design industry and located in Yokohama. They combined their expertise and the most innovative technologies to create new design objects .

From 3D press to sheet metal processing, from turning to precision mechanical processing: these are just some of the production processes that transform metal into new forms and give the material, a different plasticity and alternative methods of use.

The successful collaboration – between metal processing experts and designers involved in the creative process – has allowed Yokohama Makers Village to establish an accurate production process where the technology innovation meets the beauty of the shapes and functionality.

This is how the Flower/Metal collection has been created, consisting of 16 vases that show the beauty derived from the bond among materials having opposite characteristics. Fluid shapes, sinuous lines, composite but lightweight creations: those are stylistic traits that characterize every vase of the collection.

The collection will be displayed at Superstudio in via Tortona 27, Milan, April 4-9.
