Coca-Cola Moves to New Museum-Style HQ
The massive three-year relocation plan for Coca-Cola HBC’s new headquarters in Milan has just been completed. Carried out by international consulting firm DEGW Italia – a brand of Lombardini22 group specialized in integrated design of work environment -, the design concept for the 4,600 sq. meter space is designed for Coca-Cola’s two core operational activities, bottling and distribution, represented graphically by the iconic bottle top and crate. The firm developed an inclusive project focused on employees’ real needs, creating a workplace that offers spatial solutions capable of improving corporate performance and generating added value for the business.
The museum-style exhibition layout includes smart graphics and construction features that convey the brand’s identity, starting with a reconstruction of the Jacobs pharmacy counter, where the first Coca-Cola was sold, to a timeline of the brand’s history, blown-up photographs printed on aluminum in the various meeting rooms, and custom-designed monitors to provide an overview of the company’s products.
