Twisted furniture: ‘Why Knot’ table

Kino Guérin is a Canadian woodworker who, over the past 19 years, has created crafted furniture, making sturdy wood look as though it’s as easy to tie as string. He uses a variety of woods like walnut, zebrawood and Wenge veneers to create beautiful tables, shelving and other pieces with smooth curves and impeccable handling due to an interesting technique, like this table called “Why Knot.”

Guérin designs each piece by molding and re-shaping materials that do not easily bend for unique works that walk the line between a sculpture and a functional object.
