A light sculpture in continuous motion by Lasvit
At Maison&Object, Lasvit has launched ‘Cassia’, a new piece by of one of its most renowned designers, Petra Krausová: it’s a light sculpture, made of hand-blown glass flower shapes and stars, in continuous motion.
This dynamically-lit sculpture draws its inspiration both from the universe and its star-studded sky, as well as the organic shapes of flowers in a meadow, gently moving in a breeze. The sculpture consists of a group of smaller pendants, approximately 15 cm in diameter, each made of hand-blown glass. Every individual pendant represents a flower or a star, depending upon how we observe them.
“I wanted to create concept where the client can use a single pendant or groups spanning across ceilings but also spilling onto walls with the optional wall-mounted pieces,” the young designer said.
Each light installation is unique and stunning. Once again Lasvit conveys emotions, a refined luxury, where design meets the finest craftsmanship in the production of hand-blown glass.
