il tavolo TL by Bonaldo vince il Good Design Award
TL Table, design by Giuseppe Viganò for Bonaldo, has been awarded the Good Design Award 2015, the international design award which is assigned to the most innovative products in the year. The Good Design Award was set up in 1950 and it is organised by the Chicago Athenaeum – a museum of architecture and design – in conjunction with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, and it is one of the most internationally acclaimed design awards.
For the 2015 edition, the Chicago Athenaeum received thousands of works originating from over 47 different countries. Among these, an influential jury consisting of a panel of experts selected 900 designs from more than 38 countries, deemed to be excellent in the world of design and awarded this prestigious accolade.
The TL table owes its name to the singular shape of the central leg, comprising two inclined elements which with the table top form the two letters T and L. The table top and base ensemble is distinguished by clean-cut shapes and extra thickness, creating a strong visual impact. TL is available in the fixed and extending version and it stands out for the extensive range of finishes that can be combined: the base can come in painted metal in a variety of different colours, and with copper, brass or pickled effect. The top is available in lacquered wood, veneered wood, solid wood, glass or ceramic. The double base – which forms the two T and L shaped elements – is designed for the 250 cm and 300 cm table tops. The large single base is designed on the other hand for the 200 cm and 220 cm table tops.
